WELWYN GC have signed left-sided defender Callum Taylor, 25, for a third time.
Taylor rejoins the Citizens for his third spell from Isthmian League outfit Cambridge City, where he has been for the past four months, starting 11 times.
He joined Cambridge City on dual registration from Enfield FC in the Southern League Div 1 Central and played outstandingly for them in a 1-0 loss at Herns Way earlier in the season.
Taylor originally joined WGC in November 2019 as an 18 year-old left-back under Nick Ironton’s management having previously been with Royston Town He also signed at WGC at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, but didn’t stay long on that occasion.
In recent seasons, he has also seen service with Ware and East Thurrock and during that time has been converted to a left-sided central defender, giving WGC boss Marc Weatherstone a first, specialist player in that position since Brad Gothard’s departure from the club in October.
